Paul Simon to Hit London’s Hammersmith in June for New Album

Paul Simon, one half of the acclaimed folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, has just unveiled a long list of tour dates that will have him perform from coast to coast in North America and in some English markets as well, including a gig in London in late June.

Catch the famous singer/songwriter at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London on June 28, 2011 at 7 PM.  Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster on March 25, 2011 at 9 AM.  Presale tickets are available via the O2 Presale on March 23 at 9 AM and also via the Live Nation Presale on March 24, also at 9 AM.  Tickets are priced at £55.75, £61.75 and £83.75.

Simon tours in support of his new studio set, “So Beautiful or So What”, which is slated to come out on April 12.  Fans can expect the folk rock legend to perform a wide spectrum of his work – both obscure and the hits, both classics and those from the new album – in all of his shows.

John Mellencamp at London’s Hammersmith this Summer for “No Better than This” Tour

With an entire spring and summer ahead of him, folk rock icon John Mellencamp is definitely going to be very busy touring behind his current release “No Better than This”, with an itinerary stretching from North America to Europe for five months.

Among his European stops is a one-off gig at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London on July 2, 2011 at 7 PM.  Tickets will go on sale on March 18, 2011 at 9 AM via Ticketmaster.  There are no presale tickets available for this event.  Tickets are priced at £51.75, £73.75 and £84.75.

Mellencamp’s European leg will kick off in Denmark on June 24 and will wrap up on July 13 in Zurich, but not until the singer embarks on his North American tour slated to open on March 3 in Fort Lauderdale and closing on May 1 with an appearance at the renowned New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

After many years of being under the radar both in the recording and performing scene and after recently canceling his initially announced shows in the UK for health reasons, R&B star R Kelly is all set to push through with his UK plans starting off with a show in London this April.

Catch the “Ignition” singer when he performs at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on April 22 at 7 PM.  Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster starting on March 11, 2011 at 9 AM with a presale set on March 9 at 9 AM as well.  Tickets are priced at £39.75, £50.75 and £66.75.

Those who have tickets to the singer’s canceled shows cannot use those tickets for the newly announced shows.  Refunds can still be claimed though at the point of purchase.

The singer is also slated to perform at the O2 Apollo in Manchester on April 23.  He is expected to perform songs from his latest release, “Love Letter”, his 10th studio effort which surfaced last December.

Adele Heats Up Fall with One-off Gig at the Hammersmith in September

Armed with a smash hit new album that overthrew all the other songs at the UK charts, Adele is set to heat up fall with her upcoming short UK trek in support of her sophomore studio set, “21”.

The female soul singer will perform at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London on September 19, 2011 at 7:30 PM.  Tickets will be available on February 18, 2011 at 9 AM.  There are no advanced tickets available for this event.  Tickets go for £29.75 and £35.75.

The Hammersmith show marks the last stop in the singer’s 11-date fall trek in her home turf.  She is also set to play at the O2 Apollo in Manchester and the Wolverhampton Civic Hall for two nights each, and will also be playing two arena shows, one at the Bournemouth International Centre and another at the Cardiff International Arena.

Folk rock icon Neil Diamond sets out for a short UK tour starting this summer in Birmingham, followed by shows in Glasgow, Manchester and then in London, where he’ll be playing at the O2 for two nights.

Catch Diamond at the O2 Arena in London on July 9 and 11, 2011 at 6:30 PM.  Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster starting on February 18, 2011 at 9 AM with presales happening on February 16 and 17, at 9 AM as well.  Ticket prices are as follows: £62.25, £73.25 and £84.25.

Diamond, who is best known for his song “Sweet Caroline” and for penning The Monkees hit classic “I’m a Believer”, is nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which will induct its latest set of inductees in March.  The veteran singer/songwriter is also slated to release his newest album, “Neil Diamond: The Bang Years 1966-1968″ which includes 23 of the most obscure yet most personal songs written by Diamond during his years with Bang Records.

Dolly Parton Performs for Two Nights in London’s The O2 in September

Country music icon Dolly Parton pounds the pavement this year after many years of absence from the road.  She will be touring in support of her new and forthcoming release, “Better Day”.  The tour itinerary will have the veteran performer crisscrossing between about 20 US and European cities.

On September 7 and 8, 2011, Parton will hit the O2 Arena in London, with both shows starting at 6:30 PM.  Tickets will be available to the public starting on February 11, 2011 at 9 AM, with two presale events taking place on February 9 and 10, 2011 at 9 AM, both via Ticketmaster.  Ticket prices range from £62.25 to £84.25.

The London two-nighter will be followed by a slew of shows, still in the UK, including one night each in Newcastle, Manchester and Sheffield.

“Better Day” is Parton’s fourth album to come out from her eponymous record label, “Dolly Records”.  Founded in 2008, the label managed to release one album for each year for the veteran country performer.

Fleet Foxes Wraps Spring Tour with London Gig at the Hammersmith

Indie sextet rock act Fleet Foxes are prepping for their forthcoming tour this spring that will take them from North America and beyond.

The tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on April 30, will have the Seattle natives going bicoastal till mid-May then flying off to Europe for a string of shows which will close with a gig in London at the end of the said month.

Catch the band as they sing songs from their upcoming second studio set “Helplessness Blues”, for one night at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London at May 31 at 7 PM.  Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster on February 4, 2011 at 9 AM.  There are no presale tickets available for this event.  Tickets go for £26.75 apiece.

Country Singer Brad Paisley on the Road this Summer for H2O II Tour

With his new album, “This is Country Music”, set to be out in late May, country singer Brad Paisley will accompany its release with a four-month tour, the H2O II Tour, starting this summer in Pittsburgh, which also includes a few European stops in mid-August.

The singer is also scheduled to perform at the O2 Arena in London on August 17, 2011 at 6:30 PM.  Tickets will go on sale to the public on April 3, 2011 at 9 AM preceded by two presale events: one on February 3, 2011 at 9 AM, and another on March 3, 2011 also at 9 AM.  Tickets go for £40.25.

Paisley will also appear at the RodeoHouston event at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX on March 19.  Also apart from his tour is a performance at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL on December 1.

“This is Country Music” is the male singer’s eighth release and in terms of new material, the album follows Paisley’s 2009 record, “American Saturday Night”.

James Taylor Adds More Stops to Current Tour Sans Son Ben Taylor

James Taylor’s current tour has just become loaded with four more months of roadwork, this time, without his son Ben Taylor sharing the performing duties.

Bulk of the newly added dates are scattered between the east coast, Midwest and the south and are set to run from April till May.  The last stretch of the singer’s itinerary, which is in July, will take him across the pond for a slew of shows in the UK following his four-nighter in Lenox, MA.

As part of his UK leg, Taylor and His Legendary Band will be performing at the O2 Arena in London on July 15, 2011 at 6:30 PM.  Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on January 28, 2011 at 9 AM.  There are two presale events, one on January 26 followed by another on the 27th, both opening at 9 AM.  Ticket prices go for £59.75.

British rock icons Duran Duran is set to go on tour this spring after a long hiatus from both touring and the recording scene.

The Birmingham natives are slated to crisscross dates between the US and Europe starting this spring and stretching till mid-Summer.  The rock veterans are scheduled to perform at the O2 Arena in London on May 28, 2011 at 6:30 PM.  Tickets will go on sale to the public on January 28, 2011 at 9:30 AM with a presale happening on January 26, 2011 at 9:30 AM, all via Ticketmaster.  Ticket prices go from £40.25 to £73.25.

Duran Duran will also perform in their home turf in Birmingham, on May 21 at the LG Arena.  In the US, the band is also on board for the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA from April 15 to 17.  The band will be joined by other music giants such as Kanye West, The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon and more than 30 other music acts from various genres.
