Country music icon Dolly Parton pounds the pavement this year after many years of absence from the road. She will be touring in support of her new and forthcoming release, “Better Day”. The tour itinerary will have the veteran performer crisscrossing between about 20 US and European cities.
On September 7 and 8, 2011, Parton will hit the O2 Arena in London, with both shows starting at 6:30 PM. Tickets will be available to the public starting on February 11, 2011 at 9 AM, with two presale events taking place on February 9 and 10, 2011 at 9 AM, both via Ticketmaster. Ticket prices range from £62.25 to £84.25.
The London two-nighter will be followed by a slew of shows, still in the UK, including one night each in Newcastle, Manchester and Sheffield.
“Better Day” is Parton’s fourth album to come out from her eponymous record label, “Dolly Records”. Founded in 2008, the label managed to release one album for each year for the veteran country performer.
